My research interests lie in cognitive ageing and specifically, how musical training can influence cognition in older age. I am curious about whether taking part in this complex, multimodal activity throughout the lifespan can play a role in preserving certain cognitive domains and how this might be represented by differential brain activity between older adults who play an instrument, and those who don’t.
