The Centre for Applied Behavioural Sciences (CABS) was formed in August 2020, bringing together psychological and behavioural sciences research from across Heriot-Watt University. It is one of seven research centres within the School of Social Sciences. As a ‘hub’ research centre, CABS is uniquely placed to build collaborations both within and beyond Heriot-Watt.

Within CABS the knowledge we create is inherently relevant to people and society; our researchers exchange that knowledge to ensure those benefits are realised.
