Student Research Participation (StReP) system is a platform we use at HWU, Psychology, for UG students to earn research experience. Researcher can also use StReP to recruit participant for their research projects.

Our Psychology Department leverages a range of specialized software platforms to support cutting-edge research and data analysis. These tools enable us to design and run experiments, collect and manage complex datasets, and apply advanced statistical and computational methods. By integrating these technologies into our workflows, we ensure rigorous, efficient, and innovative approaches to understanding human behaviour and mental processes.

– Online Surveys: Surveylab, MS Forms, Pavlovia Surveys
– Experiments Platforms: PsychoPy/Pavlovia (subscription based), Testable (subscription based)
– Qualitative Analysis: NVivo
– Statistical Analysis: SPSS, Jamovi, R, Python, Matlab

Researchers at Heriot-Watt University, Psychology, have access to a number of widely-used offline and online psychological tests.
