
Ms Aisyah Qaisara Hazrin
Ms Aisyah Qaisara Hazrin is the Psychology Lab Technician at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. In her role, she supports the delivery of Research Methods and Analysis courses, offers technical and research assistance to both students and academic staff, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Psychology Lab and Resource Space.
Aisyah graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Monash University Malaysia in 2023. Following her graduation, she gained valuable experience in public sector consulting, where she developed skills in stakeholder engagement and research application in the industry.
Her research interests lie in community mental health centres, social psychology within Southeast Asian contexts, and the long-term psychological effects of colonisation on Commonwealth countries. She is particularly passionate about exploring how historical and cultural factors shape mental health systems and social behaviour in the region.
Outside of her professional life, Aisyah enjoys spending her weekends hiking with friends, visiting local art museums, and collecting art pieces by local artists. She also finds inspiration in watching day-in-the-life videos that showcase diverse lifestyles and routines.
