Take a top researcher, add a comedian and it’s the force of nature that is the Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas! Direct from the Edinburgh Fringe to a venue near you in West Lothian…
Staying sharp as you age is easy… just “do this one simple thing”!
But what if there isn’t just ‘one simple thing’ but dozens or even hundreds of things we need to do? Sounds like hard work! If we know what might be good for our brain health though, maybe we can start to make lots of smaller but more manageable changes rather than one big one. Join Professor Alan Gow (Heriot-Watt University) to explore what we know about how our thinking skills change as we age, and how lots of things affecting that might actually give us hope for keeping sharp as we age. And to get 2024 off to a brain healthy start, you can consider how many of those things you’ll resolve to change!
This event is free, with light refreshments from 2.30pm, but booking is essential via library.info@westlothian.gov.uk or book in person at Blackburn Partnership Centre.
This event is brought to you by Heriot-Watt University, as part of their Borrow A Researcher partnership with West Lothian Libraries. This event is courtesy of The Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas.
