I’m a PhD candidate in social psychology. My research interests lie in cultural identity and majority-group acculturation. My PhD research, funded by UK Research and Innovation, focusses on the acculturation of British university students. I employ cross-sectional, longitudinal and experimental studies to test associations between students’ acculturation preferences and components of their creativity, well-being, and resistance to harmful political ideologies. I’ve published research on the social psychology of Scottish independence and presented my work on majority-group acculturation at several international conferences. I teach social research methods and cross-cultural psychology at HWU, where I received Associate Membership of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) in 2024.
