My research is focussed in the area of Social Psychology. More specifically, I am investigating the perceptions and opinions held by the wider public regarding academics, their purpose and their positioning within wider society. Previous research has suggested that the once-popular notion of academia being a closed and gate-kept community has begun to shift, and my current research investigates this proposed shift and how it differs between different professional groups.
